Sunny Kapoho Acres, conveniently located five miles from Pahoa and three miles from Kapoho, is the perfect place to call home, while visiting East Hawaii.
From the one and only traffic light in historic Pahoa Town, Highway 132, Pahoa-Kapoho Road, wanders through a two mile long Tree Tunnel, past Lava Tree State Park. As the road curves east toward Kapoho, the landscape broadens from a lush tropical rainforest to the agricultural area of Rural Pahoa.
As Green Mountain comes into view and the Pacific Ocean expands across the horizon, a private road will take you one half mile off the highway to your hidden Hawaiian getaway.

From
Hilo take Highway 11 south to Highway 130.
Turn LEFT on Highway 130 to Pahoa.
From the only traffic light in Pahoa, take Highway 132 East for 5 miles. All Mile Markers (MM) are clearly visible. You will travel through a 2 mile long Tree Tunnel. Just past Lava Tree State Park, Highway 132 curves to the left.
Stay on Highway 132 until you reach MM5. You will see a large grove of young palm trees on the right at MM5.
Turn RIGHT 100 yards past MM5 (just past the palm trees).
Stay on this private road for 1/2 mile. Stay to the LEFT all along the way, and you will see a lava stone wall at the end of the road. This is the entrance to Sunny Kapoho Acres.
As you enter the property, you will see orange trees on the left and banana trees on the right. The driveway is 1/4 mile long with no house in view from the gate.
At the end of the drive is a lava rock circle with 3 large coconut palms, and your new home away from home ... Sunny Kapoho Acres!
